Program Overview

The Healthcare Information Management series is targeted at developing the skills of the student who is just entering the medical billing industry as well as the student with several years of industry experience looking for skill enhancement.

As a graduate of this comprehensive training program, you will possess the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in any number of medical facilities, including but not limited to Physician Office billing department, Medical Billing Specialist, Admitting Clerk, Medical Records Manager, Reimbursement Specialist, Medical Insurance Company Claims Personnel, and Hospital Unit Secretary.

In addition, The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) will waive one year of the required two-year apprenticeship when you complete your Certified Professional coder (CPC) training through the New Horizons Healthcare Information Management (HCIM) program that is comprised of curriculum that prepares you for AAPC certifications.
